With one week to go, training is still ongoing but the Beours are ready for the trip now!
Nice coverage in the Evening Echo. Monday 6th April
Saturday 4th April training for 15hrs!
The crew were hard at training from 7.30am to midnight on Saturday, practicing crew swaps, and night rowing, with experiments on the lighting and handling of boats at night.
Conditions were challenging enough too and gave all a good taste of choppy waters in Cork Harbour, where wind over tide conditions can be interesting! Crew also had a chance, thanks to Eddie English and Sail Cork to see what the mothership for the crossing would be like, after a brief visit to 'Hollygrounder'. An experience for some! Fantastic welcome from East Ferry Rowing Club too! |
